What is the Sweet Home Community Foundation?

A tax-exempt public benefit foundation, organized to create a self-perpetuating fund, to help make Sweet Home a self-sufficient, economically and socially prosperouscommunity.

Who will benefit from the Foundation?

Primarily the citizens and businesses of the Sweet Home Community within the boundary of the Sweet Home School District.

How do I participate?


The foundaton enables citizens to invest in the welfare and future of our community.

All monetary contributions are tax deductible inder IRS 501(c)3 and receive the fullest deduction allowed by law.

How are funds disbursed?

An application form for your project proposal is available on this site or at the Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce. A formal review and scoring by the Board of Directors, to ensure the project is in in compliance with the Foundation's mission, is completed for each proposal before a decision to fund is made. After that funds are disbursed after announcement in March of the recipients.

When are funds disbursed?

The application period is open December 1, and closes January 15. Grant awards will be amde by March 31.

How are gifts managed?

Sweet Home Community Foundation has instituted internal controls to ensure that your gift is well managed and meets your wishes.
